One Dead, Six Hurt While Laying Roof For Church Building

One labourer died and seven others were grievously injured when wooden planks crashed onto them when laying a cement concrete slab for a church under construction in Koheer mandal headquarter in Sangareddy district today.

The injured workers were rushed to the Sangareddy Government Hospital.

The dead person has been identified as Ajimullah, 19, belonging to Myanmar - he died while being treated.

The conditions of three workers identified as Raju, Hakeem and Sahel are said to be critical. Three others identified as Jameel, Saleem and Jug Bahadur escaped with simple injuries.

The injured labourers are said to be from Myanmar and Nepal.

The Sangareddy police visited the spot of the accident, registered a case and took up investigation.
