OMC: Gali Custody Extended To 25 Jan
The CBI Special Court denies Gali Janardhan Reddy's petition for bail once again.

The CBI Special Court, on Thursday, extended the judicial custody of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, his brother-in-law and Obulapuram Mining Corporation managing director B V Srinivasa Reddy, and former mines director V D Rajagopal, to 25 January.
The court issued these orders when they were produced before the Nampally court after the expiry of their remand.
Following the court's orders, the police again shifted the accused to the Chanchalguda Central Jail.
In the court, Gali Janardhan Reddy appealed to the judge, with folded hands, not to extend his remand, and to sanction bail.
He reportedly stated, "I will not leave the country and will cooperate with the probing agency. Kindly grant me bail."
Reddy's council said that they will file another bail petition on 22 January.
Meanwhile, the CBI handed over the chargesheet copies of the OMC case to Gali Janardhan Reddy.
The Special Court also adjourned the petition of IAS officer Y Srilakshmi seeking special class prisoner status, to 25 January.
The court also extended her remand to 25 January.
The court conducted the proceedings of Srilakshmi through a video conference from Chanchalguda jail.
The CBI, on 3 December 2011, filed the OMC case chargesheet against Gali, his brother-in-law and OMC Managing Director B V Srinivas Reddy, V D Rajagopal, former Assistant Director of Mines and Geology late R Linga Reddy, and the OMC. (INN)
