Now, Traffic Cops Have Cameras Attached To Bodies

Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today handed out over 100 body-strapped cameras to the traffic police in Hyderabad to curb traffic violations.

The minister said that the cameras were being distributed among the traffic cops to help them be more people-friendly and to get evidence through recording of incidents and assaults.

He exuded confidence that the new equipment would prove handy for management of the traffic system and the regulation of vehicular movement, and help with maintaining accountability and transparency.
