Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan today said that she didn't have any intention to fight with the State government, or any political agenda in the discharge of her duties.
Addressing the media at Raj Bhavan on Friday after releasing a coffee table book on the occasion of completing four years as Telangana Governor, Soundararajan said that she was serving the people of Telangana with utmost dedication, and was also working as the guardian of the Constitution without any hesitation.
"As I have a habit of serving people, I converted the Raj Bhavan into a Praja Bhavan. I am discharging my duties with utmost dedication. My main objective is to serve the people without any motive, and nobody can stop me from serving the people through violations of protocol. I am also not afraid of court cases and criticism. However, the Raj Bhavan has some limitations and there is a lack of funds," Soundararajan said.
"I don't want to pinpoint the State government as it is the youngest State in the country. However, the people are having lots of hopes and expectations, and the State government should do more work to meet the aspirations of the people," Soundararajan added.
Referring to the government's allegations that she was not clearing bills sent to her, the Governor said, "I have found flaws in some bills and sent them back. There are no politics involved in returning the bills. I have received the RTC Bill which is being examined."
Speaking about whether she would approve the nominations of K Satyanarayana and Dasoju Sravan by the State government as MLCs under the Governor's quota, Soundararajan said that she was examining whether they would come under the category or not.
