No Harm If Komatireddy Defects: Telangana Congress
Nothing would happen to the Congress even if MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy defected to the TRS, said Congress Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy.
Nothing would happen to the Congress even if Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy defected to the TRS, said Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Palvai said that the Party would in fact benefit from the exit of Venkat Reddy. He said that many were leaving the Party out of greed for money, positions and so on, and such people leaving would clean up the Party.
"Some leaders will not continue in politics without power," he said derisively, pointing out that many current TRS leaders had joined the Congress when late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister, to satiate their hunger for money.
He however contradictorily added that he didn't want Venkat Reddy's desertion from the Party. He also said that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy's brother and MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy would not leave the Party.
Alleging that Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao had established a "political brothel house" in the State, Palvai said that KCR had changed politicians into prostitutes in the State.
"It is most unfortunate. Something like this has never happened in the history of the State's politics," he opined.
