Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender today claimed that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Legislative Party (BRSLP) would soon merge with the Congress.
Nagender, who was elected as an MLA on a BRS ticket but who later shifted his loyalties to the Congress before the Lok Sabha elections, said that a majority of the BRS MLAs would soon join the Congress, and finally only four MLAs would remain in the BRS.
The MLA found fault with BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao for the way he was running the party, and said that many BRS MLAs had no recognition in the party.
"When the BRS was in power, even MLAs did not get a chance to meet KCR. The current MLAs have no value in the BRS, and they don't have faith in the leadership of KCR," Danam told the media.
He said that many BRS MLAs were preferring to join the Congress because there was freedom and recognition in the party.
"There was a special development fund for MLAs during the previous Congress regime. However, there was no such budget for the development of constituencies during the BRS regime. Some ministers and MLAs had looted thousands of crores of rupees when the BRS was in power. I have all details that will be released soon," the Khairatabad MLA said.
