Telangana Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today posed a challenge to former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, saying that if the BRS won even two seats in the Lok Sabha elections, he would resign as minister.
Speaking to the media, the minister said that the Congress would win more than 14 seats in the Lok Sabha elections due to the development made during the 100-day rule of the Congress government so far.
"The people aren't going to believe the words of KCR. The BRS may not get even one seat in Telangana. If the BRS wins even two seats, I am ready to quit as minister," Komatireddy said.
He also slammed KCR for telling "blatant lies" that the fluoride issue had been eradicated from the Nalgonda district during the tenure of the BRS government, and also said that KCR had no role in the eradication of flouride.
Komatireddy also alleged that KCR had done a lot of injustice to Telangana by having a tacit understanding with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and that Telangana had lost its share of waters in the Krishna river due to the failure of the previous government.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy too said that the BJP and the BRS would not even get their deposits back in the Nalgonda constituency.
