BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao today said that the abandonment of the party by former Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy need not be taken seriously.
He met BRS MLAs T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, K P Vivekananda Goud, Maganti Gopinath, Mutha Gopal, Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Arikepudi Gandhi and Prakash Goud, MLCs Seri Subhash Reddy and Dande Vittal, former MLA Jogu Ramanna, and party leaders Kyama Mallesh and Ravula Sridhar Reddy at his Erravalli farmhouse in Siddipet district, and had lunch with them. During the meeting, discussions were held on the developments taking place in the party.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that no one should be overly worried. He said that such developments took place during the then YSR regime, too. "However, we were not afraid," he said.
He said that there was no need to pay much attention to leaders who switched sides, and that there would be no harm to the BRS just because of some MLAs switching sides. He asserted that they would soon have good days in the future.
"From tomorrow onwards, there will be a series of meetings with MLAs and MLCs," he added.
He also alleged that CM Revanth Reddy had failed to implement the promises that he had made to the people, and also that the law and order situation in the State had gotten completely damaged.
