There will be no bandh tomorrow in Hyderabad, the Telangana JAC (Joint Action Committee) declared today at the end of a day of meetings aimed at coming up with a plan of immediate action for achieving a separate state.
There will be no bandhs until the JAC specifically calls for one. This was aimed at assauging the increasing concerns of Hyderabadis that life is appearing to come to a standstill and business is getting hurt through continuous agitations. However, the JAC has asked villages to hold peace protests and rallies, and participate in any programs that the local Telangana agitation cells call for.
There will, however, be a Mahbubnagar bandh tomorrow called by the TDP to protest the vicious attack yesterday at the Osmania University on Nagam Janardhana Reddy. The TDP has accused the TRS of orchestrating the attack on Nagam and its other legislators, and refused to join the JAC for Telangana. The TRS has however refuted the allegations, and KCR condemned the attack on Nagam and the others.
