The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) has reportedly decided to launch agitations in the Telangana region and in New Delhi, simultaneously.
TPJAC chairman M Kodandaram had convened a 2-day meeting with T supporters on Sunday, wherein the controversial Chapter 8 of the Srikrishna Committee (SKC) report and the plausible strategies to be adopted to coerce the government into introducing the Telangana Bill in the Parliament, were discussed.
Suspended Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who was also a part of the meeting, stated that Congress leaders from the Seemandhra region were preventing the Centre from revealing the 8th chapter of the SKC report.
Those gathered concluded that the Centre need not take the report seriously since it was not of constitutional importance.
The TPJAC meet also condemned TDP's annual meet Mahanadu, which concluded on Sunday, for not making a concrete statement in favour of Telangana. The TPJAC also warned the TDP that it would face the ire of the people in Telangana if the latter tours the region.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader B Vinod Kumar, Congress member M Kamalakar Rao, Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Amarjeet Kaur and Delhi JAC convener A Ramakrishna Reddy were among those who attended the meeting.
