Telugu Desam Parliamentary leader Nama Nageshwara Rao on Thursday served a notice to Speaker Meira Kumar, requesting her to take up discussions in the Lok Sabha over the verdict by the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal, in relation to the sharing of Krishna River's waters.
Nageshwara Rao contended that injustice has been meted out to Andhra Pradesh in the form of the Tribunal's verdict on sharing of surplus water.
He said that several irrigation projects in the state would now be hit due to this decision.
He urged the Speaker to allow discussion over the issue, by cancelling the Question House in the winter session of the Parliament which began here on Thursday. (INN)
