The Mohammed Nayeemuddin case grows bigger as more complaints pour in. This time a person named Varalaxmi from the Nalgonda district lodged a complaint against the slain gangster at the Medchal PS alleging that his accomplices had obtained her signature on some plain papers by threatening her with death.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Varalaxmi said that she had eight acres of land in Chinna Kandukuru village in the Nalgonda district. Her husband, Balakrishna, had purchased the land in 2003, and had died in 2009 due to illness. Nayeem's gang supposedly came to know of this and set their eyes on the land which was already under litigation.
She said that a person named Anjaiah had approached her along with a person named Bhongir Raju and a lawyer named Krishna, and had threatened her saying that they were a part of the dreaded gangster's group.
They then got her signature on plain papers and asked her to transfer her land, and gave her Rs. 50,000 for it.
She also alleged that Bhongir Raju had threatened her uncle to register the land in Nayeem's favour.
The Medchal police have registered a case and are investigating it, Varalaxmi said.
