Congress leader Malreddy Ranga Reddy appealed to Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma, Intelligence Wing Chief Navin Chand and Lokayuktha Justice Subhashan Reddy to direct the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to inquire into the links between TRS MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin.
Ranga Reddy alleged that Kishan Reddy had indulged in land grabbing at Adibhatla with the help of Nayeemuddin's key aide Srihari, and that the TRS MLA had also acquired a lot of assets on the outskirts of Hyderabad by maintaining a close relationship with the gangster.
Praising Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the Telangana Police for the Nayeemuddin encounter, Ranga Reddy urged the CM to eliminate the problem root and stem.
"Nayeem is dead, but his business and criminal activities are still thriving, and will keep growing and ruining several lives. There seems to be no end to his influence in the underworld. The government must go to the root of the problem and eliminate all of his strongmen and businesses," he said.
Responding to the TRS MLA's denial of the allegations levelled against him by the Congress leader, Ranga Reddy said that he had all the necessary documents to prove Kishan Reddy's links to Nayeemuddin.
