BJP National Vice-President and Secunderabad MP-Elect Bandaru Dattatreyya on Saturday thanked the Muslim voters who supported his party and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Dattatreyya claimed that Muslims across the country had extended overwhelming support to the BJP in the elections.
He said that the Muslims had rejected the Congress propaganda projecting Narendra Modi as anti-Muslim.
He said that the number of seats won by the BJP at the national level was proof that the Muslim community had supported Modi's candidature while rejecting the Congress and other parties.
Dattatreyya said that the BJP was against giving reservations on grounds of religion. However, the Party supported reservations for economically weaker sections of all communities.
He stated that the BJP government at the Centre would take all necessary measures for the economic and social development of Muslims in the country. He said that Muslims would get growth opportunities on par with those for other communities.
He assured Muslims that they need not fear the Modi government.
He also thanked the voters of the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency for electing him for a 4th term. He said that he would strive hard to develop the constituency. (INN)
