The YSR Congress Party has constituted 3-member committees for a district-wise review of the Assembly and general election results in Seemandhra.
The move is a precursor to the review of the poll results by the Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the first week of June.
The review committees were constituted at a meeting of the district unit observers and important leaders at the Party central office in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Senior leaders Dr. M. V. Mysura Reddy and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu held discussions with the observers.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that the 3-member committees would undertake district-wise tours from Thursday, and meet local leaders and activists for a thorough review of the poll results.
Ummareddy said that the committees were equipped with the details of the votes polled for the YSR Congress Party and the TDP in the municipal, MPTC and ZPTC polls as well as the Assembly and LS polls. "They will make a thorough review of the results for in-depth reports to be submitted to the leadership."
"The 3-member committees, after a tour of all 13 districts, will submit their reports to the leadership. This will be followed by a district-wise review of the poll results by Party president Jaganmohan Reddy, who will undertake a tour of the districts. The Party chief will visit the districts from June 4 or 5, as per the tentative schedule," he revealed.
The review was the first step in an effort to rejuvenate the party and take it much closer to the people, he said.
YSRCP will continue to monitor the governmental programs and schemes, and vehemently oppose anti-people policies if any, he added. (INN)
