BRS working president K T Rama Rao today called Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's Musi river beautification project, a Musi looting project.
He said that the DPR of the project was not meant for the Musi's beautification, and alleged that there was also no project report.
Speaking with the media at Telangana Bhavan, he asked where the money for the Musi project was coming from, and alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had given permission for the project just for money bags. "It is Rahul Gandhi who took up the Musi project, just for the sake of money. I will soon reveal to which contractor the Musi project will be awarded. When the Kaleswaram project started, KCR made a presentation in the Assembly for three hours. There is not even a three-minute talk on the Musi beautification project now. There is no revenue to be earned by the government with the beautification of the Musi river, but the Congress doesn't care. The Congress just needs bundles of notes. It doesn't care about the victims. But the Telangana society is watching the way the government is behaving towards the poor," KTR said.
He also said that there seemed to be no convergence between the CM and his ministers on the issue of the Musi. "Sridhar Babu says that no one has said that lakhs of crores of rupees would be given for the Musi project while other ministers are talking differently about the project," he alleged.
"I will give a PowerPoint presentation on the Musi in two to three days," he added.
KTR also said that Revanth Reddy went to Delhi 23 times after taking over power but did not bring even 23 paise for the State. He said that the State was clearly being run by remote control from the Congress high command in Delhi, and that the CM was clearly incapable of even expanding his cabinet.
