SC Issues Notice To KTR In Utnoor Police Case
The case pertains to KTR's allegation that the Congress government was involved in corruption of Rs 25,000 crore in the Musi beautification project.
Hyderabad | 6th June 2025
The Supreme Court today issued a notice to former Telangana minister K T Rama Rao in connection with a case registered at the Utnoor police station.
KTR had alleged in October last year that the Congress government was involved in corruption amounting to Rs 25,000 crore in the Musi river beautification project. In response, Congress leader Atram Suguna had filed a complaint at the police station alleging that KTR was spreading false propaganda against the Congress and seeking action against him, based on which a case was registered.
KTR challenged the FIR in the Telangana High Court, which ruled in his favour. Subsequently, Suguna appealed the High Court's decision in the Supreme Court. A bench led by Justice Sanjay Karol heard the matter and issued a notice to KTR today, directing him to respond to the petition.
