Revanth Reddy's Future City Has No Future: KTR
The BRS leader criticised the scrapping of the Pharma City project initiated by KCR, and its replacement with an imaginary Future City.

BRS working president K T Rama Rao today said that the so-called Future City repeatedly mentioned by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had no future.
He alleged that that was merely Reddy's ambition to convert the Hyderabad Pharma City lands into a real estate venture for his family and friends, and would not succeed.
KTR expressed anguish that farmers who had given their lands for the Pharma City project initiated by the KCR government had been deceived by its scrapping and its replacement with what he described as an imaginary Future City. He said that during the BRS government's tenure proposals were prepared for a Hyderabad Pharma City across 20,000 acres in 56 villages, and that local farmers had voluntarily given their lands for the State's benefit. The Congress government, when deciding to scrap the project, had promised to return every acre of land acquired for the Pharma City to the farmers, but was now betraying them by attempting to turn the same land into a real estate venture for the Chief Minister's family and friends, he lamented.
KTR added that under the Land Acquisition Act of 2013, land acquired for a specific public purpose could not be diverted to real estate projects for the benefit of others. He also said that he had already warned the Congress government about this issue in the Assembly two years ago.
"Despite this, Revanth Reddy's government has spent hundreds of crores on PR, and is now facing serious legal hurdles - something even officials are admitting," he claimed.
He called the project's promotion an example of the dangers of having a careless leader with no vision at the helm. He warned the government that its actions were against the public interest and would harm the people, particularly the farmers.
KTR demanded that the government immediately respond and provide clarity to the public and farmers about the lands. He also said that if the government failed to do so, the BRS would launch a huge fight on behalf of the affected farmers.
