Minister For Law And Courts Mopidevi Venkataramana on Wednesday appealed to agitating lawyers to call off their stir over the setting up of a High Court bench between Guntur and Vijayawada.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Venkataramana stated that the government was in favour of setting up of the High Court bench between the 2 cities as desired by the lawyers, but it would take some time.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah had also referred the matter to the Law Secretary, the minister said.
The state government had instructed the Law Secretary to submit the report soon so that it could take a favourable decision, Venkatramana stated.
