The people in the two Telugu states have to wait for a few more days to experience cool weather.
The IMD has announced that the monsoons would enter India a week later than projected earlier.
The IMD had originally forecast that the monsoons would hit Kerala on June 1. But the officials now say that the monsoons will hit Kerala a week later.
Due to the delay in the onset of the monsoons, rains will come to the Telugu states, too, after a delay of one week.
Meanwhile, the Visakhapatnam weather station has said that there was a chance that the Telugu States would receive isolated rains due to the cumulonimbus clouds' effect.
It said that the severe low pressure was continuing in south-west Bay Of Bengal, and that there was a chance that the low pressure would turn into a cyclone in the coming 24 hours. Due to this effect, the south-coastal Andhra area and Rayalaseema would witness light to moderate showers, it said.
