Heavy Rains Likely To Hit Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

Under the influence of a low-pressure area centred over the Vidarbha region adjoining southern Chhattisgarh, rains are likely to occur in the two Telugu States during the next 24 hours.
The meteorological department predicted light to moderate rains in some districts and heavy to very heavy rainfall may in some other districts of the State, as a result.
Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Mulugu, Peddapalli, Hanumakonda, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Warangal and Nirmal districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. The met warned of moderate to heavy rains at many places in Hyderabad as well. The people of the city have been advised to remain vigilant.
The met also predicted light to moderate rainfall in the coastal areas of AP on Wednesday, and heavy rains in some other areas. Srikakulam, Parvathipuram, Alluri, West Godavari, Kakinada, Konaseema, Eluru and the combined Krishna districts are likely to receive light to moderate rains accompanied by lightning. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains from Thursday. A similar situation will prevail in Rayalaseema districts as well. The met issued an advisory to fishermen not to venture out for fishing as conditions along the coast had turned turbulent.
