Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to lash the two Telugu-speaking states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, during the next two days.
According to the weather forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the humid and hot conditions have disappeared from the states, and that has turned the climate cool.
A low depression that has formed over Jharkhand will also result in heavy rains in the states.
Officials of the IMD added that the monsoons had also turned active in the two states, and that the states would receive normal rainfall this month.
