Prime Minister Narendra Modi today levelled severe allegations of corruption against the BRS State government.
Addressing the public meeting held by the BJP in Warangal after laying the foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 6,100 crore, including a railway wagon manufacturing unit, Modi started his speech in Telugu by saying 'Bhadrakali Mahatyam', 'Sammakka Sarakka' and 'Rani Rudrama Paarsham'.
He then proceeded to tear into the Congress and the BRS. He said that the goal of both the parties was to raise and feed the families that ran them, and that they were in cahoots with each other while maintaining an outwardly appearance of rivalry.
"The BRS and the Congress parties are equally dangerous for Telangana. The Congress' corruption is spread all over the country, and KCR's corruption is known throughout the State. KCR aims just for the well-being of his family, and the BRS government was mired in graft. Everything in the projects being executed in Telangana is corrupt," he said.
Modi also made sensational remarks that the investigating agencies were targeting KCR over his corruption. He said that KCR was consequently coming up with new dramas to divert the people's attention from his corruption.
The PM also claimed that KCR never fulfilled any of his promises and that the BRS only knew how to blame the Centre.
"The BRS cheated the youth of Telangana by promising them government jobs and unemployment allowances but not delivering on either. In addition, the unemployed youth suffered a lot due to the TSPSC exam paper scams," he said.
Referring to the success of the BJP in the municipal elections, Modi said that that was only a trailer. "This huge crowd that has come to this meeting gives me the confidence that the BJP is sure to win in the next Telangana Assembly elections," he said.
The BRS leadership has boycotted Modi's visit to Warangal.
