BRS working president and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for speaking "blatant lies" against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the BRS government, and said that Modi had stooped to incredibly low levels.
Sharply responding to the remarks of the PM during the latter's public meeting in Nizamabad, KTR said that the PM had lost his mental balance while speaking, and had tried to cover up his government's failures by levelling baseless remarks against the BRS government.
"PM Modi's acting will surely get an Oscar award. If he writes the script, a film will be very successful. Modi has spoken without knowing about Telangana's development. It is very unfortunate that a person at the level of the Prime Minister speaks such lies," KTR said.
Rubbishing the allegations of Modi that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had expressed a desire to join the NDA, KTR said that no one today wanted to join the NDA, and that many parties had in fact already left the BJP-led alliance.
"Left desperate, the BJP is sending the enforcement agencies - ED and CBI - after the parties which have left the NDA. And cases against those who join the BJP are being buried," KTR alleged.
The BRS working president added, "I don't need Modi's permission to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. At the age of 70, Narendra Modi told blatant lies and has degraded the dignity of the Prime Minister's post with them. KCR is a fighter. He doesn't join cheaters."
