The Narsingi police have rescued a 16-year-old girl after tracing her to Chengicherla, and arrested two individuals.
The rescue follows a missing person complaint filed on February 17.
According to the police, the investigation revealed that the girl first met a 16-year-old boy on February 7 while shopping in the Charminar area. The two subsequently stayed in contact via telephone. On February 16, the girl travelled to Madina to meet the boy without informing her family. She spent the day roaming around Charminar.
The minor boy, along with two friends - all residents of Talabkatta - took the girl in an auto-rickshaw to a double-bedroom housing unit in Chengicherla. There, they threatened her with a knife, and forced her to consume alcohol before physically and sexually assaulting her.
The police said that another suspect was absconding, and efforts were on to arrest him.
One of the arrested accused, Imran, is a repeat offender involved in approximately eight cases, including robbery, theft and bodily offenses. A suspect sheet is currently maintained against him at the Rain Bazar police station, the police added.
