Rape Case Booked Against Marredpally Inspector
A rape and kidnap case was booked against Marredpally circle inspector Nageswara Rao at the Vanasthalipuram police station.

A rape and kidnap case was booked against Marredpally circle inspector Nageswara Rao at the Vanasthalipuram police station.
The case was registered following a complaint lodged by the victim.
In her complaint, she alleged that the inspector had raped her by entering her house in Vanasthalipuram, and had attacked her husband who came to rescue her shortly.
The SHO brandished his gun at her husband and hustled the two of them into his car, and got the husband to drive the car at gunpoint. However the car met with an accident near Ibrahimpatnam, and her husband and she escaped from the car and took a bus from there, she said.
Later, the victim along with her husband approached the Vanasthalipuram police station and lodged the complaint.
The police booked a criminal case against the inspector under sections 452, 376(2), 307, 448 and 365 of the IPC, and section 30 of the Arms Act.
Rao has been suspended, and is on the run currently.
