Sujana Chowdary's Son Caught Racing Car Illegally

Sai Karthik, son of Union Minister of State for Science & Technology Y S Chowdary, was caught on Friday midnight by the Hyderabad traffic police for rash driving, and had his Porsche car seized.

According to information received, the city traffic police had set up a checkpost at the Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Park at Banjara Hills on Friday night and conducted a special drive to trap those indulging in racing. During the drive, Karthik was found driving the vehicle in a "rash" manner between the Jubilee Hills checkpost and the KBR Park gate.

Banjara Hills traffic police inspector N Vidya Sagar said that Karthik was driving with a male friend, and had ignored the police orders to stop. A case was booked on charges of rash driving against Karthik under Section 184 (B) of the MV Act and the Porsche car was seized, the traffic CI said. However, Karthik was not arrested, and may get off with just a fine for the offence.
