Maniac Cuts Throat Of Woman In Public In Karimnagar

In a ghastly incident, a woman working in a Mee Seva centre was brutally murdered by a man in public and in broad daylight.

The barbaric incident took place in Karimnagar today.

The maniac killed the woman working in the Mee Seva centre located quite opposite to the Collectorate by slitting her throat as her hapless colleagues watched stunned.

The woman breathed her last on the way to hospital.

The people around caught and roughed up the man, Vamsidhar of Markandeya Nagar of Ramagundam, before handing him over to the police who arrived on receiving the information.

According to the Mee Seva centre supervisor, the victim's name was Rasagna, and she was 22. She hailed from Hanuman Nagar of Ramagundam and had been working in the Mee Seva centre for the last two months while staying in a hostel in Karimnagar. Vamshidhar came to the centre in the morning and entered into an argument with Rasagna, and shouted saying,"How long will you deceive me? Come out anmd we will discuss the issue."

Saying that he took Rasagna out of the centre. And while they were standing at the the main gate of the centre, he suddenly slit her throat with a sharp knife.

"We were in shock. We didn't understand what was happening for a few moments," the supervisor said. "Recovering from the shock, we immediately took Rasagna, who was in a pool of blood, to a hospital, but she died on the way."

The supervisor said that Vamsidhar tried to slash his own wrist after the incident, but the people nearby blocked his effort and beat him up badly.

It is learnt that Rasagna and Vamsidhar have been acquainted with each other for the last three years.
