The newly-elected president of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) Manchu Vishnu took charge today.
He immediately signed the file pertaining to pensions for the members of the association.
He shared the information on his official Twitter handle, and added that he was extremely happy after taking charge as the president of the association.
Vishnu said that he would fulfill all the promises made in his election manifesto in the coming days and ensure the development of the association.
The charge-taking ceremony of Vishnu came in the wake of the en masse resignations of 11 EC members who won from the Prakash Raj panel.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Naresh targeted the Prakash Raj panel members for tendering their resignations en masse.
Speaking to the media after the completion of the charge-taking ceremony of the newly-elected president of the association, he asked the resigned members why they resigned from their posts after promising to work with the elected body irrespective of the election results.
"Why have you resigned from your posts after committing to work with us? You said that you would work with us irrespective of your victory or defeat. What happened to your promises now? Why are you asking the questions from outside?" Naresh asked.
He said that MAA was a family, and asked the rival panel members to work with them as a team by keeping factionalism behind.
