Man Held For Posting Videos Of Girl On Porn Sites

Rachakonda Cyber Crime Police today arrested Patibandla Sanjay, 24, a sound technician working for Zee Telugu and a native of Cloughpet, Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, and currently residing at Karkhana in Secunderabad, for posting private videos of a woman on porn websites.

The victim, 23, residing at L B Nagar, had come into contact with the accused while watching the shooting of a TV serial at Miryalaguda. They exchanged their mobile numbers and used to chat frequently.

After a few days, the accused lured the victim and encouraged her to show her private parts on a video chat. He recorded the footage without her knowledge by using a video-capturing application, and started blackmailing her to come online frequently.

When she refused, he threatened to post her private videos in porn websites. When she refused and reprimanded him for that, he went ahead and posted the videos on various porn websites.

Coming to know about this, the victim lodged a complaint, following which the police registered a case under sections 354(D) and 506 of the IPC, and 66E and 67 of the IT Act, and launched an investigation.

On Monday, Patibandla was arrested from Karkhana, Secunderabad, and the mobile phone through which he had recorded her private videos was seized. The accused was produced before the XVI MM court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

All the videos were reportedly removed from the web after the concerned websites were sent notices.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat exhorted people, especially girls, to be very careful when chatting with their new friends, and to under no circumstances expose themselves to strangers.
