Mahila Congress Leaders Arrested At DGP Office

Protesting against the rising sexual attacks on the women and girls of the State, Telangana Mahila Congress leaders and activists, led by Telangana Mahila Congress president Sunitha Rao and Greater Hyderabad Congress leader Varalakshmi, on Saturday staged a dharna at the office of the Director General of Police.

Claiming that sexual assaults on women and girls were being reported continuously from across the State, the Mahila Congress leaders alleged that neither the police administration nor the State government were taking any actions to curb the menace.

They demanded that the culprits be dealt with severely.

The police took the agitators into custody and shifted them to the Nampally police station.
