The condition of minor girl Madhulika, 17, who was stalked and grievously injured by a jilted lover named Bharat at Barkatpura, continues to be critical.
The doctors at Yashoda Hospital have said that they cannot say anything about her condition for the next 48 years.
Madhulika had sustained critical injuries on her head, neck, back and other parts of the body, the doctors said, resulting in profuse bleeding. Her BP and pulse rate continued to be low, and they could not perform any surgery on her until the BP and pulse rate returned to normal levels, they added.
They also said that they would have to perform several surgeries on the Intermediate student to get her back to normal.
Meanwhile, the police found that Bharat had attacked Madhulika according to a plan. He had stolen a sickle from a coconut shop and hidden it in his house to attack the girl. He also hid the sickle again in his house after attacking the girl.
Separately, the parents of the victim have alleged that they did not get justice from the local police despite the fact that they had filed a complaint with the She Teams. They alleged that the She Teams simply counselled Madhulika, Bharat and their parents, and washed off their hands. They also alleged that the She Teams took the case lightly at the instance of the boy's relative, who had worked as a police officer earlier.
