Launching a scathing attack against Telangana Political JAC chairman M Kodandaram for his remarks on the State government's treatment of farmers, TRS MP B Suman claimed that the former was a Congress puppet.
Addressing a press conference, Suman accused Kodandaram of being a stooge of the Opposition and maligning the State government's image. Suman recalled that it was TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao who appointed Kodandaram as chairman of the T-JAC to deal with important issues during the Statehood movement.
KCR took up the Statehood movement, which had been going on for a decade, and achieved separate Telangana. The Congress might have bought Kodandaram soon after, he claimed and added that this was the reason the latter was opposed to all schemes of the State government.
"Can't Kodandaram see the results in the form of the successful flagship programs including Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Haritha Haram, Free Double Bedroom Houses and others. Why exactly is he opposed to the government?," he asked.
Besides implementing many welfare schemes and developmental programs, the State government was prioritizing irrigation projects and would finish them on a war footing, and also solve electricity problem, he promised. But Kodandaram would still doubt the government's intentions, he lamented.
