Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman M Kodandaram alleged that the State government was averse to the problems being faced by farmers due to the demonetization of 500 and 1,000 rupee notes.
Speaking to the media, Kodandaram said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was insensitive to the sufferings of farmers amid the note ban, and instead spent Rs. 300 crores on Pragati Bhavan.
Instead, the CM should have spent the money on mitigating those sufferings, the JAC chairman said and pointing out that even the promise of providing free double bedroom houses for the poor had not been fulfilled yet.
