London Mayor Discusses Business Opps With AP
The London mayor expressed an avidity in knowing the details of the Metro Rail project currently in progress in Hyderabad.

London mayor Boris Johnson has expressed a keen interest in various projects being implemented in the city, especially the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
Speaking at the interactive session on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad at Jubilee Hall here on Wednesday, the London mayor expressed an avidity in knowing the details of the Metro Rail project currently in progress in Hyderabad. He said that he was fascinated by the heritage buildings in Hyderabad. He further observed that the regeneration of Hyderabad city, lake cleaning, tourism development, ports, and other sectors, have a great potential for assistance from investors based in London and the United Kingdom.
The London mayor, who is on a two-day visit to Hyderabad, was accompanied by Chief of Staff Edward Lister, and other senior officials and media persons from London. A power point presentation was made to the delegation detailing the major ongoing projects by various departments of the state government.
In his welcome address, Infrastructure and Investments Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao gave a brief on the various potential sectors for investments in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. Municipal Administration Minister M Maheedhar Reddy, GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and other officials also addressed and solicited investments in developmental projects in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.
