The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) today hired civil engineering experts to guide it and ensure that quality standards are being followed while laying roads in Hyderabad.
The GHMC began repairing and recarpeting roads that were damaged during the heavy rains last month. The authorities hired services of experts and engineers, who are inspecting various places in the city.
IIT-H Professor Digvijaya Pawar, along with top officials of the GHMC inspected roads being laid at the Cyber Tower flyover, Gachibowli, Botanical Gardens and other areas.
Pawar gave suggestions after inspecting the BT mixing process.
The lecturer advised the authorities to take services of other IIT, JNTU and OU experts as well in determining the type of material to be used for repairing and laying roads.
