GHMC Mayor Inaugurates Many Beautification Works
The Mayor said that the Telangana government had allocated approximately Rs 7,000 crore to transform Hyderabad into an international city.

GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi today said that there were large-scale beautification initiatives underway in Hyderabad aimed at creating a more pleasant urban environment for residents.
Along with Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, the Mayor inaugurated multiple beautification and development projects in the Serilingampally circle on Tuesday.
As part of th0se, she unveiled the JRC Junction beautification project, which features sculptures, fountains, cascades and other aesthetic enhancements.
Additionally, beautification works were kicked off at Biodiversity Junction, including the upgrading of sculptures, fountains, cascades and lighting installations.
The Mayor also launched the installation of street furniture along the stretch from the Roda Mistry college to the Telangana State Election Commission office.
Further developments include the enhancement of rotaries at Gachibowli Stadium, incorporating sculptures and fountains, and the scaling up of sculptures, fountains and lighting at Khajaguda Junction.
The Mayor also inaugurated an animal burial ground constructed by Raga Foundation under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijayalakshmi revealed that 195 beautification projects had been taken up across the city at an estimated cost of Rs 125 crore. Of these, 28 projects had been completed, while 167 were in various stages of progress. She assured people that steps were being taken to expedite their completion.
The Mayor also spoke of the State government's ambitious "Hyderabad Rising" initiative, which aimed to improve infrastructure and transport facilities. She said that the government had allocated approximately Rs 7,000 crore to transform Hyderabad into an international city.
She also claimed that efforts were being made to empower lakhs of women from self-help groups within the Greater Hyderabad limits, with a vision of turning them into entrepreneurs.
Zonal Commissioner Upender Reddy, senior engineers, and corporators Ragam Nagender Yadav, Gangadhar, Hamid Patel and Uppalapati Srikanth were also present at the event.
