LS Workers Protest No Action Against Naidu, Arrested
Loksatta party workers tried to lay siege to KCR's office asking why no notice was issued to Chandrababu Naidu in the note-for-vote case, and were arrested.
Loksatta party workers on Saturday tried to lay siege to the camp office of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao questioning why the TRS government was dilly-dallying in issuing a notice to TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the infamous note-for-vote case, and demanding that the Telangana government immediately issue notices to Chandrababu Naidu who "conceived and orchestrated the heinous incident".
However, the alert police swung into action and whisked away the protestors to the Punjagutta police station.
The arrested people include Loksatta party state secretary Sambi Reddy.
Earlier, Sambi Reddy had asked why notices were not issued to the AP Chief Minister when KCR had said that there was irrefutable evidence against Naidu's complicity in the case.
"Is there some deal reached between KCR and Chandrababu Naidu?" he asked. "Not issuing a notice to Naidu in the case is giving room to apprehensions that there may be some understanding between the Chief Ministers of two Telugu states." (NSS)
