Former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha today called upon the cadres of her Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) to organise a month-long flag festival across Telangana from May 20 to June 20, aimed at taking the party's ideology and programs to the grassroots level.
Addressing party workers in Hyderabad, Kavitha said that the celebrations should be conducted from the State capital to the various district headquarters, Assembly constituencies, mandal centres and villages, with TRS flags unfurled in every ward across the State.
She urged the cadres to extensively publicise the party's Panchajanya principles announced during the party's inception meeting, and strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level.
Claiming that Telangana continued to face several unresolved challenges even 12 years after State formation, Kavitha alleged that the promises associated with the Telangana movement, including water, funds and jobs, had not been fully realised. Various sections of society that had expected transformation after Statehood were now facing uncertainty and hardships, she said.
Calling for a renewed movement for the reconstruction of Telangana, Kavitha appealed to party leaders, activists and members of her Telangana Jagruthi to ensure the success of the program.
