BRS chief K Chnadrashekar Rao today said that the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was another dark day in the country's democratic history.
In a statement, KCR said that the recent arrests of Jharkhand ex-Chief Minister Hemant Soren and BRS MLC K Kavitha proved that the BJP ruling at the Centre was acting with the sole intention of making the opposition nameless.
"For this, the union government is using the ED, the CBI, the IT department and other central investigation agencies," KCR claimed.
He said that his party strongly condemned the actions of the BJP government, which he said was turning into an axe for democracy.
"Kejriwal's arrest is a politically motivated arrest. We demand the immediate withdrawal of the illegal cases against him and the immediate release of those arrested," he said.
