Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan on Sunday stated that his party would support the 'Rythukosam' announced by the TDP, to be held in Guntur on December 30.
The LSP chief said that the issues faced by farmers need to be solved, and hence his party would support all parties that fight for the farmers.
Talking to media persons, Dr. Narayan stated that the lack of awareness, and disjointed information about the problems faced by the farmers, have resulted in their being neglected by the political parties. This has led to the farmers facing such a crisis, he said.
He demanded that the government release a White Paper on the construction of power plants, which are seen to be of more capacity than required, and the power consumption in the state.
The Lok Satta chief further stated that that general public will not benefit as much as the political parties would with the bifurcation of the state, since the Telangana agitations are aimed at getting political benefits.
