Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today directed the relevant officials to take up the village clinic works on a war-footing, and to ensure the completion of the same by August 15. He asked them also to complete the ongoing village secretariat construction works by the end of May.
Speaking at a video conference with the district Collectors and SPs on the issue of employment generation under the MGNREGS and about the schemes which the government will likely implement this summer, the CM congratulated the officials for giving a record number of people work through the MGNREGS in various projects.
Highlighting the urgent need to set up village clinics, he said that the clinics were being set up with the aim of preventing the
spread of Covid-19 in the state, and added, "Please ensure that all the clinics are ready for inauguration by August 15."
The CM also directed the officials to set up 9,899 bulk milk cooling centres (BMCs) and to launch them by September. Further, they were asked to earmark land for the establishment of 25 milk processing units - one unit for each parliamentary constituency.
Talking about the rise in the incidence of Covid-19 in AP, Jagan urged all the people in the state to adhere to the necessary safety guidelines. He revealed that he would himself receive the vaccination this Friday.
