Reports say that Telangana recorded 403 new cases in the past 24 hours, which has taken the count of total cases to 3,06,742. 4,583 people are currently under treatment.
With two new Covid-19 deaths, the state's death toll is now 1,690. But, with a fatality rate of 0.55%, which is far lower than the national rate of 1.3%, the state also saw 313 recoveries on March 28. It has, so far, seen 3,00,469 recoveries.
Keeping in mind the rise in cases, 33,930 people were tested yesterday.
In AP, as many as 31,325 corona tests were conducted during the past 24 hours. Of them, a troubling 997 were positive, reports say. Chittoor recorded the highest number of 181 cases, while Vizianagaram registered the lowest with four positives. With this, the total active cases now are 6,104, and the cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 8,99,812.
Five deaths, one each in Chittoor, Anantapur, Kurnool, Nellore and Visakhapatnam districts, pushed up the state's death tally to 7,210.
On a happier note, however, AP recorded 282 recoveries yesterday.
