KTR alleged that the Congress government was engaged in questionable land dealings, including the mortgaging of 400 acres of HCU forest land.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao today accused the Congress-led Telangana government of being involved in a massive Rs 10,000 crore land scam involving the prime Kancha Gachibowli area and forest lands under the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Central University (HCU).
Addressing a party meeting in Karimnagar, KTR alleged that the Congress government was engaged in multiple questionable land dealings, including the mortgaging of 400 acres of HCU forest land, and claimed that public assets were being diverted to benefit private brokers and corporations.
"The PCC president himself admitted that money was raised by pledging HCU lands, which confirms what we had already revealed," KTR said. "But one part of the government says this, while another says something entirely different. People deserve to know the truth - was the land mortgaged, sold, auctioned or illegally allotted?"
He alleged that land had been secretly allotted to a company named Beacon. "I've made all related documents public. If the government claims they are false, let them release their own proof," he said.
He also asked to know whether the lands had already been converted into real estate plots and distributed to private entities through backdoor deals.
KTR also targeted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directly, calling him a fake and dishonest politician who frequently contradicted himself, and labelled the official documents released by the government as forgeries.
He also raised concerns over a Rs 170 crore commission allegedly paid for a Rs 10,000 crore loan deal. "Where else in the country have we seen such massive commissions in government transactions? What are they trying to hide?"
KTR also accused the BJP of shielding the Congress government and specifically Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the past 15 months. "Bandi Sanjay is protecting Revanth Reddy like a bodyguard. If the BJP and the Congress aren't colluding, why hasn't the BJP demanded an investigation?" he asked. He called for the Reserve Bank of India and SEBI to probe the financial transactions related to the land and loan deals.
He also claimed that a Mumbai-based brokerage firm, allegedly linked to a BJP MP, had facilitated the financial arrangements. "Once the so-called help to the MP is complete, I will reveal both the person and the benefit he received," KTR said, hinting at a long-standing backroom alliance between the Chief Minister and the MP.
The BRS leader said that the Congress government flagrantly disregarded environmental concerns, contrasting it with former CM K Chandrashekar Rao's decision to cancel six flyovers around KBR Park in response to public protests. "Today, 400 acres of forest are being destroyed, wildlife is disappearing, and the government refuses to listen to student protestors," he said. He also noted that many of the students involved in the protests were not even locals. "Yet, they are standing up for our environment - that says a lot about the government's apathy," he said.
KTR also alleged that the Musi river development project was being used as a front for another large-scale scam worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore. "Even minister Sridhar Babu seems unaware of the project's details," he remarked. "How can the government fund such projects while claiming it has no money for farmer loan waivers, pensions and other election promises? Who are they trying to save under the guise of this so-called Musi development?"
KTR claimed that the BRS government had completed 100% sewage treatment facilities in the Musi catchment area. "Why propose another project in the same area unless it's a pretext for looting?" he asked.
KTR also accused both the BJP and the Congress of neglecting Karimnagar district. "Under the BRS rule, projects across Telangana were thriving. Now, under the BJP and the Congress, the region is turning into a desert," he said.
He also claimed that tanks used to hold water even during summer under KCR's leadership, "but now under Congress' vindictive politics everything is drying up".
He praised the "resilience" of the Medigadda barrage, which he claimed withstood massive inflows, and accused the Congress of trying to discredit it on flimsy grounds.
KTR also claimed that since Congress came to power, 520 farmers had died by suicide. "It's time this government woke up from its deep slumber," he said.
