Minister for Forests and Endowments Konda Surekha on Wednesday made sensational allegations against BRS working president K T Rama Rao, holding him responsible for the separation of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
She accused KTR of playing with the lives of actresses and introducing them to drugs.
Speaking to the media after participating in the Gandhi Jayanthi program at Bapughat, Surekha said, "K T Rama Rao got addicted to drugs and got the film actresses habituated to them as well. It is K T Rama Rao because of whom Samantha's divorce happened. He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them. He used to make them drug addicts and then do this. He organised rave parties and blackmailed them. Everyone knows this. Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family, everybody is aware that such a thing happened. He has been manipulating the lives of actresses, tapping their phones, getting them addicted, and pushing them towards early marriages, forcing them to leave the film industry."
The minister continued, "Fake posts about me are being circulated through four social media accounts from Dubai. There were obscene posts made by the BRS against me and GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi. I served in the BRS for five years and everyone knows my character. Does KTR not have a mother, sister or aunt? We have filed complaints against those responsible for these indecent posts. We don't need the crocodile tears of the BRS. Harish Rao responded with humanity, but where was the concern when I was being trolled?"
Surekha also criticised what she claimed were deteriorating political values, saying, "If the State government makes mistakes, the opposition leaders should expose the failures. But attacking someone's character is unacceptable."
