She suspected that the trolling was likely part of a deliberate paid campaign to harass women online.

Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha expressed deep anguish today over "disrespectful" posts targeting her on the social media, despite her being a woman.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Surekha, alongside TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, accused BRS social media supporters of making degrading posts about her.
The minister said that the trolling was likely part of a deliberate paid campaign to harass women online. She asked BRS Working President K T Rama Rao how long such disrespect would continue, and whether KTR would tolerate similar remarks if directed towards his sister Kavitha.
She said that while criticism of government policies was acceptable, personally insulting women crossed a line. She also accused KTR of consistently humiliating women, citing past instances where he allegedly mocked women for using free bus services.
Surekha claimed that the very Padmashali community that helped the BRS come to power was now being insulted.
She also said that ever since K Chandrashekar Rao had returned to power for a second term, the BRS leadership had turned arrogant, driven by power and money.
She also hinted that KCR had not appointed her as a minister because he anticipated political challenges from her.
Goud also condemned the trolling against Surekha, and said that the Padmashali community was pained by the act. He asked whether the BRS could survive if the SC, ST and BC communities turned against it, and said that KCR should have apologized for the trolling.
Goud asked BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao how a party that disrespected women leaders could claim to honour them, and urged them to address the disrespect being shown by their party leaders towards women.
