Komatireddy Slams KCR For Planning Public Meeting In Nalgonda
The minister demanded that KCR first apologise to the people of Nalgonda for failing to get the adequate share for the State in the Krishna river waters.
Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today came down heavily on BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for preparing to hold a public meeting in Nalgonda on February 13.
He demanded that KCR organise the public meeting only after tendering an unconditional apology to the people of Nalgonda for "failing" to get the adequate share for the State in the Krishna river waters.
Speaking to the media, the minister alleged that a lot of injustice was done to Nalgonda district during the previous BRS government, and that KCR should come to the district only after admitting his failures and rubbing his nose on the ground.
He said that the BRS didn't have any right to speak on the issue of the handing over of the control of Telangana's irrigation projects on the Krishna River to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), and alleged that it was KCR and former irrigation minister Harish Rao who had signed the agreement to hand over the projects to the KRMB.
Reddy also said that he would organise a protest program in Nalgonda on Tuesday to expose the failures of the previous BRS government and the injustice done to the district in the irrigation sector.
