Declaring that he had no differences with the Telangana Congress leadership, Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on Wednesday said that there was no truth in the media reports that he was contemplating quitting the party and joining the ruling TRS.
Talking to mediapersons today, Reddy said that he would not leave the Congress under any circumstances.
Asserting that the Congress would bounce back to power in Telangana in the 2019 Assembly elections, Reddy averred that the countdown for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had begun.
Reddy also said that it was not proper for partymen, including his elder brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, to make anti-Congress comments. He admitted that the Congress had lost the recent elections due to internecine feuding, though he also held the fielding of weak candidates partly responsible.
Rajagopal Reddy advised those who were planning to defect to the ruling party for personal gains to reconsider their plans. He also disapproved of the criticism by the TRS ministers and leaders of TJAC chairman M Kodandaram.
