Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu, on Wednesday, accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of having totally failed in redressing the grievances of people.
Talking to media persons at the state party office in Hyderabad, Venkaiah Naidu said that the governance in the state has come to a standstill, thanks to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
He said that the state's development has been affected due to agitations on various issues - fee reimbursement, junior doctors' protests, and textile traders' grievances against VAT.
Also, the government has failed to honour promises made to employees from the Telangana region during the Sakala Janula Samme, he said.
He came down heavily on the state government for not responding to the woes of farmers who were affected by drought, and for having failes to bring in a Central team to estimate crop losses.
He asked why the state government was not taking any decision on the tenders for Polavaram, which were mired in controversy.
Criticizing the government for politicizing the appointments of state Information Commissioners, he sought an explanation over this issue from the government, to the people.
He also sought to question Speaker Nadendla Manohar on why he was "dragging his feet" on initiating disqualification actions on the 16 rebel MLAs who had switched loyalties during the recent No Confidence Motion against the government.
Condemning the desecration of Dr. Ambedkar's statues in Amalapuram, he blamed the failure of the intelligence system for the attack, and demanded a probe into it. (INN)
