KCR Thanks President, PM For Clearing Zonal System
The Telangana CM was elated after the union government finally issued a gazette notification today approving the TRS government's proposed new zonal system in the state.
The union government issued a gazette notification today approving the TRS government's proposal for the creation of a new zonal system in the state.
The notification was issued following President Ram Nath Kovind signing the file concerned forwarded by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs after Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved it.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, during his recent visit to New Delhi, had met the Prime Minister and impressed upon him the merits of his government's proposal for a new zonal system to enable the state administration to go ahead with job recruitments.
As per the new system, there will be seven zones and two multi-zones, and 95% of government jobs in a zone will be earmarked for locals of that zone. Those who studied from classes I to VII in a zone will be treated as locals of that zone.
Once the clearance for the new zonal system came from the Centre, KCR was planning to take up recruitment to the tune 50,000 new jobs. Elated by the Centre's clearance for the new system, then, the Chief Minister conveyed his thanks to the President and the Prime Minister.
